Our independent home is located between Chadwell Heath and Romford, and our established, close-knit team of carers are proud to be a part of the local community.

We have a packed activities schedule, so there are always plenty of fun things going on to choose from. Our sensory room is specially designed to give people with dementia a safe and relaxing space, and we run engaging activities tailored around those with complex needs.
Dedicated carers
Our team of dedicated carers have been with us for years. We don’t use agency staff, so our care is consistent and we’re like a second family for your loved one. Our carers build close bonds with residents and take the time to learn everyone’s likes, dislikes and hobbies.
Personalised care
Care is personalised for each resident and we have regular support from district nurses. They can perform tasks such as changing dressings or administering insulin to treat people at our home so they don’t need to make unnecessary hospital visits.

A hidden gem with brilliant facilities
Our home has often been described as a hidden gem. We have 41 bedrooms with en-suites available and rooms that overlook our stunning landscaped gardens. Meals are freshly prepared on-site by a team of chefs and refreshments are available throughout the day. We even take requests at tea time to make sure you or your loved one can enjoy your favourite meals.
We have five lounges for residents and a dedicated activities and events coordinator. Our gardens are specially designed to be accessible for wheelchairs, and we have facilities for green-fingered residents who want to muck in with the gardening and get their hands dirty. Visitors are welcome, and we do everything in our power to keep guests and residents safe in line with the latest government guidelines.

Rowallan House is nestled between Ilford, Romford, Barking, Dagenham, Chigwell and Chadwell Heath. We’re close to the A12 motorway and Newbury Park or Chadwell Heath train station.
COVID-19 UPDATE
We are following all government guidelines to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone who lives and works at Rowallan House.
There is no staff or visitor testing unless symptomatic but there is testing for new residents on admission or any residents returning to the home from hospital
