Meet the team

At Rowallan House, we think it’s important for residents to see the same friendly faces every day. Many of our reliable and loyal staff have been with us for years, and we don’t use agency or temporary staff.

"The fact that mum is alive, well and cheerful at 101 and has survived a global pandemic is testament to the love and care shown by all Rowallan staff. They treat her as a person with a life history and not just another resident. We cannot thank Rowallan House enough.”

Elvis

I have spent nearly two decades working in health and social care across different services and, during this time, I have had the privilege of working with adults living in supported living accommodation, people living with autism, schizophrenia as well as those living with dementia. Working in Dementia care is my ultimate pride and joy and my primary focus is to get rid of the historical stigma that has been associated with this ailment. My mission is to restore the pride and dignity of these vulnerable individuals to show the world you do not just have to exist, but can actually thrive while living with this condition.

Bola

Caring is my passion. I have worked in care for 19 years and, in February 2022, will have been at Rowallan House for 15 years. I chose to work in care because I love to care for people.
Making someone smile or laugh not only makes a difference to the other person, it makes a difference to me too. Rowallan house is a family home, everyone that comes through the door experiences warmth and friendliness. Rowallan house was my first care home to work at. I thought l would spend five years here but I ended up staying due to the lovely residents, caring staff and good management.

Carly

My name’s Carly and I came to work at Rowallan House in 2018 and it feels like I’ve found my calling. Having worked in schools for around 10 years, I felt I needed a change but didn’t want to stop looking after people. The management and staff here are amazing - Rowallan House feels like family!

Sue

I have been working at Rowallan House for 12 years ..I started as a cleaner and had never worked in a care home before. I have now moved up to Domestic Services Coordinator.  I enjoy working at Rowallan, it's like having a big house full of Grandparents! it's one big happy family atmosphere. I enjoy playing green bowls and the residents like to talk about it as many of them were bowlers before they came to live at Rowallan.

Wendy

I have worked at Rowallan House for 5 years after working in school catering for 30 years. I love working at Rowallan House because of the residents and I believe we make a huge difference in their lives. Away from Rowallan House, I love watching my grandchildren dance in the shows and competitions that they take part in.

Sophia

I have worked at Rowallan House for just over a year but have been working in the care sector for 13 years. I enjoy working within care homes because every day is different and it is so rewarding to see the changes and impact that you have helped create with the residents. I love helping people and communicating with residents, families, and professionals. I have a passion for travelling and experiencing different cultures, ways of living and languages. I have a degree in the performing arts so I am passionate about theatre, wigs and make-up!
