For 40 years, we’ve been welcoming residents into our cosy home away from home for long-term stays, short stays and everything in between. We pride ourselves on being able to cater to a variety of needs and preferences, always delivering a high level of care complete with a personal touch. Whether you plan on making Rowallan House your permanent home or if you’re simply stopping by for extra support following a hospital visit, our friendly staff is always ready to welcome you.

Your home away from home

Rowallan House is a traditional family care home that has everything you need to feel safe, comfortable and happy. Our family-friendly atmosphere is sure to have you feeling right at home the minute you step through our doors.

Residents are encouraged to decorate their rooms as they wish and family and friends are always welcome to visit. But of course, you’re sure to make plenty of new friends too. Our dedicated events and activities coordinator is always planning quizzes, crafts, games and trips to the seaside or theatre. You can rest assured there’s never a dull moment! However, if you fancy some quiet time, why not take a stroll in our beautifully landscaped garden? There are also hairdresser and barber facilities on site so feel free to pamper yourself. 

Lastly, we have an onsite chef who cooks three nutritious meals a day using fresh, seasonal ingredients. We cater to a variety of dietary requirements and are more than happy to make your favourite meal too. Plus, there are plenty of snacks to enjoy throughout the day in between meals. 

Short term stays 

We are happy to welcome guests or couples into our friendly home for however long you need us. But while we welcome short-term stays, don’t be surprised if you end up wanting to stay for longer. 

Respite care

For family caregivers, our respite care services ensure your loved one can continue to receive the quality support they require to live well while you get to enjoy some much-needed time off.

Convalescent care

We are also a great choice for people who have recently been discharged from the hospital or who are recovering from an illness and may need an extra bit of support during the rehabilitation process.
